Get In

We hear almost everyone talk about how they feel disconnected from other people in their community and how they wished they knew people better. Some of us are initiators and meet people easily and for others it’s more difficult. Nevertheless, talk to anyone and they will tell you that relationships and knowing one another is important to almost any endeavor. Certainly this is true as it relates to the life and mission of a faith community and its connections to the larger community around it. So, here are some ways that you might be interested in getting involved and hopefully you’ll meet some folks and begin to feel at home here.

Bible Study & Fellowship, Wednesdays, 6:30pm, Parlor

A multi-generational gathering studying different books of the Bible with discussion and thoughtfulness. Hungry? Join them for a meal at 6pm.

Current Study: The Book of Acts with Sean Dean. Click here for recordings of recent teachings.

Men’s Breakfast and Bible Study, Thursdays, 7am, Parlor

Join this group of men for breakfast, fellowship, bible study, prayer, and conversations about faith led by Pastor Ron Vignec. This is a long standing group and all are welcome. Bring a few dollars, if you have it, to donate towards the breakfast cost but don’t let the cost keep you away.

Sunday Morning Conversation, Sundays, 9:15am, Parlor

We gather to discuss and study various relevant topics for our Urban Grace community. Past classes have included Images of Jesus, Cultural Competency, and Whole-Life Stewardship. Go to the Urban Grace calendar to find out our current topic.

Small Groups

To be a part of authentic community, it’s important to get to know one another better. Urban Grace hopes to facilitate this in a variety of ways including small groups.  Groups may form around stages in life, interests or a particular topic of study.? We’re just getting started creating some of these groups, so contact the church office at info@urbangracetacoma.org to sign up.

Membership

At Urban Grace we consider the city our parish and thus if you are a resident of the city then you are in one way a member of our church. At the same time, as a congregation we have certain practical roles that voting members of the congregation must exercise to run the business of our church. So, whether you are a part of our city and we run into you around town and become friends or you hang out at our church regularly and participate in different ways, or you go through membership and become a voting member, we value your participation and your leadership when you can offer it. If you are interested in being a voting member contact us (info@urbangracetacoma.org) for information.
